We’re pleased to invite members and partners to a virtual event, Partnering for Impact: Lessons from the CanWaCH Canadian Collaboratives for Global Health, taking place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT.
This session will highlight the findings, lessons and practical tools emerging from three collaborative projects focused on key challenges in global health and gender equality. Participants will hear directly from project leads and partners and consider how this work can inform future research, programming, partnerships and policy dialogue.
From April 27 to 30, thousands of advocates, leaders and movements will gather in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia, for the Women Deliver 2026 Conference (WD2026). At a time when gender equality is under attack, the historic first hosting by the Oceanic Pacific will be inspired by the theme “Change calls us here” and brings the world together to advance the rights of girls, women and gender-diverse people worldwide.
We’re looking forward to being part of the moment and will have a booth presence at the conference. If you’ll be there, we’d love for you to stop by. With comfortable seating and device charging available for all, it’s a space to pause, connect and exchange ideas with partners and colleagues across (and beyond) the sector.
CanWaCH will be conducting a member engagement survey over the month of April! Your feedback will help strengthen our efforts to support the health and well-being of women, children and adolescents around the world. Surveys will be sent to the member‑identified leads responsible for monitoring and evaluation, programming, communications, policy, public engagement and gender equality across the CanWaCH membership.

For our latest feature in the CanWaCH blog series The Ask, we sat down with CEO Caitlin Goggin to learn more about her career path, her influences and her reflections on the state of global health and gender equality.

On March 24 and 25, leading researchers, clinicians, innovators and changemakers from across the country gathered in Toronto for two days of conversation, collaboration and action. Through panels, talks and collaborative sessions, participants came together to tackle the issues that most affect women’s health and chart out a healthier future for women in Canada.
Co-hosted by Women’s Health Collective Canada (WHCC), CanWaCH, the Partnership for Women’s Health Research Canada (PWHR) and the Pan-Canadian Women’s Health Coalition (PCWHC), the summit saw presentations from Hubs addressing persistent gaps and under-researched areas in women’s and gender diverse people’s health.
A largely text-forward platform, Bluesky is a free, decentralized social network offering tools to share updates, chat and engage with global events. Over the past few years, it’s emerged as an alternative to longstanding microblogging platforms like X (Twitter) and a viable channel for people and organizations seeking new ways to connect.
Last month, Transparency International Canada and CanWaCH hosted a crucial discussion on strengthening transparency, accountability and inclusion in health service delivery. Speakers highlighted how barriers to health services for women, girls and marginalized communities are systemic and mutually reinforcing, shaped by governance challenges, social norms and structural constraints in health systems. Reflections emphasized the importance of community engagement, strong data systems and long-term partnerships to support service delivery, accountability and sustainable change.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all our speakers for sharing their expertise!

The 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), convened by UN Women, is the United Nation’s global forum for advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. The active participation of civil society is a cornerstone of CSW, ensuring that global commitments are grounded in lived experience and informed by those working closest to the most affected and vulnerable communities.
CanWaCH attended CSW70 to both contribute to and learn from these global discussions. Representing a diverse network of partners across sectors, our presence was especially important in the context of shifting political and funding landscapes.
