Join us for the CanWaCH Annual General Meeting on November 22!

Registration is now open for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 22! Starting at 1 p.m. EST, the virtual AGM will feature key CanWaCH strategic and operational updates during the business meeting portion. It will be followed by an inspiring keynote address by Shweta Narayan. An international climate and health campaigner for Health Care Without Harm, Narayan works on accelerating the role of health professionals in climate action. Stay tuned! We’ll be offering an innovative networking opportunity alongside the AGM. Details on how you can join will be shared via email and CanWaCH’s social media channels. 

Reminder: 2023-2024 CanWaCH Membership renewal fees are now due

The new CanWaCH membership year began on October 1 and your membership fees are now due and payable. Check your inbox for a renewal invoice that was sent via our membership platform, GlueUp, on August 28. In order for your votes to be validated for the CanWaCH Annual General Meeting on November 22, 2023, your organization must be a member in good standing. Per our policies, members shall be deemed to be in good standing upon payment of their membership fees.

Call for Concept Notes – Strengthening Civil Society and Democratic Spaces in the Indo-Pacific 2024-2028

Eligible organizations are invited to submit Concept Notes that describe projects that will address the objectives of the “Strengthening Civil Society and Democratic Spaces in the Indo-Pacific” Call by 12 p.m. EST on November 28th, 2023. Global Affairs Canada (GAC) may fund 8 to 10 proposals or none, up to the maximum funding available. Visit this page for more information.

Data Matters: Add, manage and update your data with the Project Explorer User Portal!

We’re excited to present our newly updated Project Explorer User Portal! Through the portal, any Canadian or international organizations working on or funding global development, humanitarian and gender equality projects with a link to Canada can enter new projects as well as update existing data in the Project Explorer. Don’t miss the chance to highlight your projects and ensure that your most recent data is featured in our next Global Health Impact Report

Reminder! Our second data drive of the year is underway. For this drive, CanWaCH is specifically interested in better understanding how partners are adapting and responding to the health and gendered impacts of the climate crisis.
